⚖️ Statutory Redressal Mechanism
Mandate: Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 & Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 | Response Turnaround: Acknowledgment within 24–48 hours; Resolution within 15 calendar days
1. Statutory Framework & Scope
In compliance with the Information Technology Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Entrepreneurship Development Council of India has established a formal Grievance Redressal Cell to handle concerns regarding content moderation, data protection, membership billing, directory listing accuracy, and member conduct.

3. Procedure for Filing a Formal Grievance
To ensure expeditious investigation and audit trail compliance, grievances must be transmitted in writing to grievance@edci.in containing:
- Full Name, registered email address, and verified 10-digit mobile number.
- Member Account ID or WooCommerce Order ID (if applicable).
- Clear description of the incident, disputed portfolio listing, moderation action, or billing transaction.
- Supporting documentary evidence (screenshots, transaction receipts, or correspondence).
4. Resolution SLA & Escalation Ladder
- Stage 1 (Acknowledgment): Dispatched within 24 to 48 business hours with a formal Council Tracking Reference.
- Stage 2 (Investigation): Internal audit by relevant desk (Moderation, Billing, or Chapter Secretariat) with an interim update provided within 7 days.
- Stage 3 (Final Resolution): Comprehensive written determination and corrective action notice dispatched within 15 calendar days.
5. Appeals & Council Arbitration
If a complainant is unsatisfied with the determination rendered by the Grievance Officer, they may request an executive review before the EDCI Council Executive Committee within 15 calendar days. The determination of the Executive Committee shall be the Council’s final administrative decision.
